About the role:


TargetBay seeks a talented Senior/ Lead Product Marketer (SaaS) with exceptional storytelling experience to join the Marketing team. You’ll be responsible for presenting our products, most importantly BayEngage, our email and SMS marketing product, along with BayReviews and BayRewards, in ways that will strengthen our brand and boost sales. Your goal will be to develop and implement the most profitable plans to position and promote our products.


Experience: 5 - 8 years 
Location: Perungudi, Chennai

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop product messaging that differentiates TargetBay’s products - BayEngage, BayReviews, and BayRewards from others in the market.
  • Maintain and manage competitive intelligence and comparisons by working with cross-functional stakeholders and executing self-lead research.
  • Communicate the value of new products to the sales and marketing team.
  • Develop product marketing strategies (pricing, advertising, product launches).
  • Craft compelling messages across marketing channels (landing pages, email marketing campaigns, and ad campaigns).
  • Work with various teams (design, content, acquisition, product, sales) to implement strategies.
  • Assist sales on calls when appropriate to provide deeper dives into the product.
  • Develop and implement promotional activities such as promotions and product launches
  • Use market research data to determine product pricing.
  • Create product content such as case studies, videos, website copy, and blog posts.
  • Gain insight into customer use of current products, untapped opportunities, and buyer personas, especially in online reviews and email marketing segments.
  • Measure and optimize the buyer journey as it relates to product feature adoption and usage

Ideal Candidate Background

  • Exceptional research and communication skills.
  • Collaborative skills: As a lead product marketer, you must collaborate with multiple teams across the business, including sales, marketing, engineering, product management, press, and PR.
  • Communication skills: The ability to speak and write to a high standard is crucial. You will frequently have to present new products and write engaging copy, telling the ‘story’ of products for various marketing channels.
  • Research skills: A crucial part of being a product marketer is gaining insight into customer needs and experiences. Data analysis, surveys, and customer interviews will be part of this mix, and you need to be well-acquainted with these techniques.
  • You must have at least 3 years of direct experience working for a B2B tech SaaS company, product, service, or social impact brand.
  • Understanding digital marketing tactics, including SEO, email marketing, and web analytics.
  • Knowledge of eCommerce platforms - Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, and Magento would be a big plus.
  • Ability to consistently meet tight deadlines.
